From 1983 to 1985 Tisdale played collegiate ball for the Oklahoma Sooners. He was a three-time Big Eight Conference Player of the Year. He was also the first collegiate player to be named first-team All American in his freshman, sophomore, and junior seasons. In 1984 he won a gold medal as part of the U.S. Olympic basketball team coached by Bobby Knight.
In 1985 Tisdale was drafted second by the Indiana Pacers where he averaged over 15 points and 6 rebounds per game. His NBA career stats are as follows...
