Who was Trouble : Trouble was the dog who inherited $12 million from Leona Helmsley when she passed away. Carl Lekic, the general manager of the Sandcastle hotel, cared for Trouble after the passing of Helmsley. It has been reported that it costed around $100,000 a year to care for Trouble: $1,200 for food, $8,000 for grooming and the rest going to Lekic as well as a full time security guard.
