Who was Sherwood Schwartz : Schwartz was a legendary television producer who is also created for creating the series' Gilligan's Island on CBS and The Brady Bunch on ABC. Some of his other work included The Bob Hope Shop, The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet, The ALan Young Show, I Married Joan, The Red Skelton Show, My Favorite Martian, It's About Time, Dusty's Trail, Harper Valley PTA, and Together We Stand.

One interesting fact is that Schwartz and Red Skelton didn't get along, as he mentioned in his 1988 book. It was even in his contract that the two never had to meet fact-to-face.
