Death Summary: Pryor died with a smile on his face according to his wife Jennifer. He died as a result of cardiac arrest in Encino, California. He was 65 years old and had just turned 9 days previous. Jennifer took him to the hospital where he was pronounced dead after her own attempts to revive him.

Who was Richard Pryor : Born Richard Franklin Lennox Thomas Pryor III, Richard Pryor was a comedian well known for his outspoken and often vulgar routines. He also appeared in a lot of movies, often teaming up with actor Gene Wilder. He once set himself on fire while freebasing cocaine, suffering burns on about half of his entire body.

He has gone down in history as one of the most influential comedians of all-time.
