Richard Lynch was a well-known TV and movie actor from Brooklyn, NY. During his actor career, Lynch was well-known for playing opposition-based and villain-type characters, such as: Xaviar (Galactica 1980), Baran (Star Trek: The Next Generation), and Michael O'Connor (Murder, She Wrote).

Lynch acquired his actor's training from The Actors' Studio and HB Studios, and started his movie career with a debut in the film Scarecrow.

Off screen, Lynch enjoyed various other activities, such as playing musical instruments (saxophone, guitar, piano, and flute), as well as: fishing, poetry, and architecture.
