Death Summary: Richard Ben Cramer reportedly died at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore at the age of 62 from complications from lunch cancer.

Who was Richard Ben Cramer : Richard Ben Cramer was a journalist, and a Pulitzer Prize winner, and a New York Times bestselling author who even wrote a documentary that was nominated for an Academy Award.

As a journalist, Cramer wrote for The Philadelphia Inquirer, The Baltimore Sun, Esquire Magazine, and Rolling Stone. He won the Pulitzer Prize for International Reporting in 1979 for his coverage of the MIddle East. He is possibly most well known for His book What It Takes: The Way to the White House , but his book about Joe DiMaggio was a New York Times bestseller in 2000. He has also written books about Ted Williams, Bob Dole and Israel. He is said to have been working on one about Alex Rodriguez before his death.

Cramer also co-wrote and narrated a number of documentary films, including The Battle Over Citizen Kane, which was nominated for an Academy Award.
