I remember Ray from "Overboard". and watch the movie at least once a year. I will always remember Ray's story. I felt I could relate with him. I just wish he could have found his way out of the storm. RIP

As a child and teenager, this was my favorite game show and I have very fond memories watching it with my family. When I look back now and imagine a child or teen taking time for a show like this, well it just seems a little odd. It was because of Ray, the man had personality and character in abundance, I don't see anyone ever filling his shoes as the host. It's like Bob Barker, the man was just the right man for the show and will always be the first thing to mind when the show is mentioned. It is hard for me to imagine a man with such great qualities so down and out on life, he brought me and my family great times as I am sure he did so many others. I am also of the belief that the psychiatric ward needs to be held accountable. I work in a lock down psychiatric facility and could never imagine this happening in ours. When a person is this down and out, when they are seeing death as the only option, in this field we are taught to look for so many signs, and no matter what, there is always something about the person that says "please help me, please watch over me". It is more than sad and a misfortune for so many that this was missed in Ray as I would think he'd been a clear read on this issue. May he always be remembered for his great personality and as the outstanding host of Family Feud.

RIP Ray. YOu were very funny, my favorite host. Depression should be a more widely considered disease. Thank you for bringing light to this subject.

Poor thing! I know it is not fair to remember him because of his last act. But it saddens me everytime when I read how hopeless these poor people felt in their last moments it seems so cruel. Shame on the facility he was in he should of obviously been taken better care of. I hope his family sued them for neglecting to protect an obvious unbalanced person from harm. It will forever be an injustise if they are not held accountable!!!!

I adored him. He always had me cracking up! To me, he was the BEST host for Family Feud ever! That's too bad. You can NEVER judge a book by its cover.
