Why him go away he make me sad. He was a good man a good man I tell you.
Rest in peace Peter….you were my mum’s cousin ( Marion Paling ) God Bless x
As a first cousin, I have know Peter all my life. We saw quite a bit of each other in the last few years, after we had both retired. I knew (vaguely) about Peter’s career and work but such was his modesty that I had no idea of his status and reputation in his profession/field. I now know him to have been a quiet legend and wish I had known more and talked to him more about his obvious talent, his outstanding achievements and the love that so many people had for him. RIP Peter….a GOOD man, much loved, much missed. Geoff
Peter cut his teeth at Century 21 in the 1960′s. Whenever you see Thunderbird 2 landing, it was Peter suspending the model on the wires and slowly lowering it to the ground. In fantasy, the pilot of Thunderbird 2 was Virgil Tracy, but in reallity it was Peter Wragg. His contribution to special effects is legendary. He like many other was a student of the late great Derek Meddings. The techniques used on Thunderbirds were refined by people like Peter. Our loss is the man, but the visual legacy we shall never loose.
