Who was Patrick Cranshaw : Cranshaw was a movie and television actor. He is probably best remembered for his role of Joseph “Blue” Palasky, a frat brother in the comedy Old School.
One of the more memorable scenes in the movie comes when Cranshaw's character is getting ready to wrestle two topless girls, due to all the excitement he has an apparent heart attack. The next scene is a funeral in which Will Ferrell is singing the Kansas song "Dust in the Wind", and he screams out "Your my boy Blue...your my boy".
He worked in such films as Bonnie and Clyde, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, Pee-Wee's Big Adventure, The Hudsucker Proxy, Everyone Says I Love You, Broken Vessels, Best in Show, Bubble Boy, Air Bud, and of course Old School. He also appeared in over 50 television shows over the years.

I first became aware of patrick cranshaw when he played the worlds oldest man on the t.v. show “Monk”. Although he was murdered early in the show, he played a convincing role as the worlds oldest man. I’ve since had the pleasure to enjoy many of his movies. He will live forever in his body of work. I hope that will bring some measure of comfort to his family, friends, and many fans.
