  1. Marcia M Mueller Says:

    Dear Stephen’s Family –
My sincere condolences in the loss of your father, Olin. I met and came to love Olin through my brother, Capt Craig Mueller in San Diego, who proudly owned “Brushfire” from 2000 until he passed away in Sept of 2007. He and Olin became fast friends and kindred spirits when they met in 2003. Craig’s relationship with Olin was a cherished one and they spent quality time together when Craig would have Olin come out to San Diego. My brother last spent time with Olin in March 2007 when he visited. My brother was dying of a rare cancer at the time and when they said their goodbyes, each one knew it would be the last… until they met again on the other side. Thank you for sharing Olin with the rest of us who dearly loved him. We also loved his incredbily beautiful sailboats. I like to think that Olin is with Craig and all their other sailing buddies in Heaven’s Seas having fair winds on Olin’s beautiful fast boats.
My love to all of you. Olin’s century of life touched so many people. He’ll be missed. God Bless!

I know very little about yachting, but I do occasionally take out the ‘Wooden Boats’ magazine from a local library here in Adelaide, Australia. There are some magnificent yachts depicted in that magazine and many of them have a connection to Mr Olin Stephens. A life well spent. RIP
