Death Summary: Akkad along with his daughter Rima Akkad Monla died as a result of the 2005 Amman bombings. They were in the Grand Hyatt hotel lobby in an explosion where Rima was killed instantly and Moustapha died from his injuries a couple days later.
After their demise, Moustapha's son Malek took over for producing the Halloween movies.
Who was Moustapha Akkad : Moustapha Akkad was a Syrian-American movie producer most known for producing all of the movies in the Halloween franchise (most of which starred Donald Pleasence) until he died.
He also directed Mohammad, Messenger of God and Lion of the Desert.
