What a shame, my kids just missed the end of the Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Show. Out went some semblance of a plot, in came digital color. As I recall, Bugs didn’t really start a fight, tho’ he did tend to finish them. He did a long and good job. No one will match him.

I remember Whoopie Goldberg did a tribute to Mel Blanc, there was a poster in the background that featured every character he ever gave a voice to, they were surrounding a mic, the spotlight was on the mic, and every head was bowed, the caption said it all ” were speechless” makes me cry just thinking about it. Thanks Mel, for everything

  16. Seth Johnston Says:

Mel, you were the greatest voice actor who ever lived, you were a great person, father, and husband, the first cartoon I ever watched were the Looney Tunes and I loved every minute of it. I will never forget the last and first voice you ever did, the first was the sound of a baby crying I assume, and the last was I think in the Jetsons Movie. I’m going to miss you, you were a great comedian as well. You’re gone now, and I always dreamed of meeting you when I was a kid, though I was born in the late 90s, I still dreamed of shaking you’re hand. I can do impressions of the characters you voiced really well, but no one can do as good as you. RIP Mel Blanc

  17. Val Baker Says:

Should have received an honorary Oscar for his services to animation.

  18. Jacob Bailey Says:

Mel Blanc. I can not express my respect for you. I watched your documentary and it had me emotional, and you are a wonderful man. I really wish I could have met you, and I am writing this letter knowing that just like with every other letter, you would have replied and maybe done a voice for me. Even though I grew up watching a few but not all cartoons, I will be watching them now. Thank you so much, and maybe you can do some impressions for me in the past life, I’d love to meet you, Sir.
