I met Peter Paul and Mary in Clearwater Fl after their concert at Ruth Eckard Hall a few years ago. I cut our vacation short and drove almost straight threw to get there, knowing I was going to be able to go to their “meet and greet” after the concert.(a perc of having a daughter who was in marketing for R.E.Hall.) Something I will always remember. All three of them were the most pleaseant and patient performers I had ever met, truly a “class act”! Mary was noticibly in pain w/ her arm but a trooper still!God Bless Her always. To her family and many friends, you truly have an Angel looking down you.
Dear Friend:
May I please express my deepest sympathy for your family.
When death separates family members, such great loss can result in deep sorrow. Abraham wept over the death of his beloved wife, Sarah. (Genesis 23:2) Even the perfect man Jesus “gave way to tears” when his friend Lazarus died. (John 11:35) So it is natural to experience sadness when death claims someone you love. However, Christians know that there will be a resurrection. (Acts 24:15)
Think what it would mean to see a time when death would be no more! Never would you have to go to a cemetery and mourn the loss of someone you loved. Never would you experience the heartache of looking at a marker that tells where your loved one is lying in the ground beneath your feet. Instead, your loved ones would always be with you in the land of the living. That such a time will come is not empty imagination. It will be a reality as surely as the sun rises every morning. It is a dependable promise, given by the only One capable of fulfilling it.
Jehovah is eager to bestow blessings. We have every reason to place complete confidence in the promises of Jehovah, “the God of truth.”—Psalm 31:5.
May Jehovah bless your family with peace.

I grew up with Peter, Paul and Mary. I fondly remember playing their songs and singing with my friends. Great memories from life changing songs. My deepest sympathies to her family and friends. I lost my wife to Leukemia treatments in 2008 so I understand the pain this disease creates in our lives. May God bless you and your family and most of all, thank you Mary for sharing your life and music with all of us!
