What a lady. I had the honor of meeting in when she spoke here at WPAFB, in 2004. Such a hoot, just listening to her experience. And still so very active at her age – then. She will be missed for all the contribution she made and would have made.

My grandma could fly! When “Sully” landed his plane in the water I thought…that’s how she would have dome it. I was NEVER scared flying with her and loved every second of it. She was one of a kind.

Some people would say, “So what, just another pilot.” Well that is not what should be thought. Without such human beings as Margaret in the course of history where would this species be? It may help to understand what causes one person or type of people to have conviction, dedication, and drive. These principles are no longer taught. For Margaret and ones of thousands of her generation this world owns a debt of thanks that can not be repaid. Think of that the next time someone makes the “off the cuff” comment about the brave souls in service of this, the United States of America. May God keep you close and we remember.
