Leroy Sievers

Death Summary: Sievers was diagnosed with prostate cancer back in 2006, and he began to keep a blog and a podcast about his fight with it on the NPR website.
A couple of months before his death, he disclosed that doctors had found new cancer in his lungs, his liver, his pelvis, his shoulder blades, and most devastating, his brain.
Three days before he died, he wrote that he was going to be pursuing Hospice Care.
He died at his home in Maryland.
Who was Leroy Sievers : Leroy Sievers was a celebrated journalist who worked for NPR, CBS News, and ABC's Nightline for which he was a producer. He won 12 Emmy awards as well as two Peabody Awards.
In his later years, once he found out that he had cancer, he ran a blog and a podcast on the NPR website in which he discussed his cancer, his treatment, and his fight with the illness.

everyone missing him
Leroy wrote and said all the things I was going through in my 3 year battle with kidney Cancer. When I couldnt talk about my cancer, I asked those close to me to read his blog…..he was saying what I couldnt say. I (we ) will miss him deeply.
