LeRoy Neiman (born LeRoy Runquist) was a well-known American sports painter. Neiman's famous works include various public sporting events, such as: The Super Bowl, The World Series, The Kentucky Derby, The Ryder Cup, The World Equestrian Games, and Wimbledon.
Prior to Neiman's painting success, he was a member of the U.S. Army as a cook during World War II. After his leave, Neiman studied at St. Paul School of Art and also the Art Institute of Chicago.
