Death Summary: Kevin Jerome Duckworth died while visiting the Oregon Coast on August 25, 2008. He was 44.

Duckworth died when his enlarged heart failed. He also suffered high blood pressure, which aided in his demise.

Who was Kevin Duckworth : Duckworth (aka The Duck) was a former professional basketball player in the NBA. He played for numerous teams such as the Spurs, the Bullets, the Bucks, the Clippers… but he is most known for his time with the Portland Trail Blazers.

Duckworth was selected in the 2nd round, 33rd overall, in the 1986 NBA draft by the San Antonio Spurs. Early in his rookie season he was traded to Portland for Walter Berry.

His professional career spanned from 1986 – 1997. Duckworth was also a 2-Time NBA All-Star and the 1987-88 NBA Most Improved Player.
