Organ Failure


Death Summary: It started with Henson feeling flu-like symptoms, which were evident on his appearance on The Arsenio Hall Show on May 4th. As he got progressively worse, he died on May 16th after starting to cough up blood.

At first, he was thought to have died from pneumonia, but his death was then attributed to organ failure due to a streptococcus infection, which had led to abscesses in his lungs.

Who was Jim Henson : Jim Henson was a beloved puppeteer responsible for the creation of The Muppets, Sesame Street Muppets, and Fraggle Rock to name a few.

He directed movies as well, such as Labyrinth and The Dark Crystal.

His legacy lives on through the Jim Henson Company, which continues to create creatures for television shows and movies.
