Who was Jacqueline Lee Bouvier Kennedy Onassis : She married John F. Kennedy in 1953. Upon his becoming president of the USA in 1961 Jackie became the first lady, until his assassination in 1963. She was riding next to her husband when he was shot in Dallas.
Five years later, in 1968 she married greek shipping magnate Aristotle Onassis.
After his death in 1975 she moved to New York and worked as editor in various publishing houses.
