Death Summary: Jack A. Weil died in his home of natural causes. He was 107.

Who was Jack Weil : Weil was the founder and CEO of Rockmount Ranch Wear, a Denver-based Western clothing manufacturer. It is believed that Weil was also that oldest working CEO in the United States at 107.

In 1946 Weil rented a space at 1626 Wazee Street in Denver, Colorado. He began to sell fashionable (yet practical) western wear.

Weil is credited for being the first to put snaps on a western style shirt, patented the saw-tooth pocket design, and by far his greatest accomplishment… he invented the bolo tie.

Weil claimed to have quit smoking at 60, drinking at 90 and eating red meat at 100. Though he took a shot of Jack Danie’s twice a week to help thin his blood.

Wei'ls western apparel can be seen featured in the movie Brokeback Mountain, which starred the late Heath Ledger.
