Who was Harry Caray : Harry Caray, who was born Harry Christopher Carabina is one of the most famous and loved baseball commentators of all time.

He began in 1945 calling games for the St. Louis Cardinals and also went on to do games for the Oakland Athletics and the Chicago White Sox, but younger generations will remember him most for his tenure with the Chicago Cubs. These games were constantly aired all over the U.S. thanks to being on the channel WGN.

One might say that he made the seventh inning stretch singing of "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" what it is today. It is hard for one to sing this song and not recall Caray's rendition in which he "root, root, rooted for the Cubbies".

Caray was the father of Skip Caray, the late broadcaster for the Atlanta Braves.

He also had a group of restaurants named after him.
