When Storm was 17 two of her teachers urged her to enter the “Gateway to Hollywood” contest, broadcasting on the CBS Radio studios. First prize was a one-year contract with a movie studio.
After winning the contest Storm made several films for the studio, RKO Radio pictures. She acted in several films with RKO then move on to Monogram Pictures.
Storm’s career really took off in 1952 with her starring role in “My Little Margie”, which was a summer replacement for “I Love Lucy”. The show ran for 126 episodes.
A few years later Storm was given her own television show, “The Gale Storm Show: Oh! Susanna”. The show ran for 143 episodes between 1956 and 1960.
Storm was twice widowed, the first Lee Bonnell and the second was Paul Masterson.

I remember “My Little Margie” reruns when I was young. It is sad to see another star leave us , but may she rest in peace. She will now be a star for her God. Peace to her family and fans.
I remember Gale Storm on both My Little Margie AND Oh, Susanna! She was a true comedian and knew how to play opposite anyone. She left a legacy with us all.
I remember watching Ms. Storm when I was very young and loved her show, she was beautiful, smart and very talented. She will always live in my memory, I always wondered about her and where she was.
I loved her…..she was so sweet, what a nice human being.
I had the privilege to be cast member when Ms. Storm starred in Unsinkable Molly Brown many years ago. She was joyous to work with; so welcoming to all. She’ll live with us forever.
I remember Gale Storm on both series and enjoyed watching them very much. A great star and actress.
She left a great legacy and will be missed.
I remember Gale in My Little Margie. I loved her antics on that show. I also loved her singing of which I am sure she is singing with the Angels in Heaven. God Bless her family.
