Injuries Related To Motorcycle Accident

Death Summary: Frank Pastore was in a motorcycle accident on a California freeway on November 19, 2012. He was thrown from his bike and suffered serious head injuries. He was hospitalized, and in a coma for four weeks, before ultimately dying from the injuries on December 17.

Ironically, 3 hours prior to the motorcycle accident that would ultimately take Pastore's life, Pastore hypothesized that he could be killed on the 210 Freeway in Los Angeles riding a motorcycle. You can hear his remarks here.

Who was Frank Pastore : Frank Pastore was a Major League Baseball player. He was a pitcher who played for the Cincinnati Reds from 1979 to 1985. He also played for the Twins in 1986. In 1987, he signed with the Texas Rangers, and played for their AA affiliate, the Oklahoma City 89ers for a season. He then retired.

Pastore co-wrote a book called Shattered: Struck Down, But Not Destroyed with Ellen Vaughn.

In 2004, Pastore became a radio host for KKLA 99.5 FM in Los Angeles with The Frank Pastore Show.
