Who was Frances Bay : Frances Bay was an actress probably best known for playing Adam Sandler's grandma in the film "Happy Gilmore". In fact, when she passed away, this even appeared in the headlines. Bay was also well known for her role on the hit television series Seinfeld, as the old lady who Jerry Seinfeld stole a marble rye from. Bay, born Frances Goffman, lived a fairly long life, and didn't even begin acting until she was in her 50s. She was born and raised in Canada.
