Death Summary: Evan Tanner decided to go camping in the desert-like region north of Brawley, California with is recently purchased dirt bike.
On his trip Tanner ran out of gas and called his manager to inform him that he would be walking back to civilization. With temperatures reaching 114 degrees that day, friends and family got worried and reported him missing.
His body was discovered by a Marine helicopter on September 8, 2008, the official cause of death was ruled to be heat exposure.
Who was Evan Tanner : Tanner was a professional mixed martial arts fighter, a former UFC Middleweight and USWF Heavyweight champion. He had a professional record of 32 wins and only 8 losses. He was the first American to win the Pancrase Neo-Blood tournament in Tokyo, Japan.
Tanner defeated Heath Herring at USWF 7 to win his first championship, he went on to defend the title 5 separate times.

Evan you were a great adventurer, thinker and true humman being who allways was honest about yourself and your struggles and triumpths. You were for lack of a better word “Real” I know you were allways seeking knowlede and insight and was a minimalist at heart. I pray that you have found the answers you sought after with every bit of passion with was enormous and that you are completely at home. I will miss you man.
