Dear Don [Jesse] Knotts, I am sorry I never met you in person, of all people who ever made me laugh, you are my all time favorite personality, and I alway’s stopped to watch you, no matter what I was doing, I had always wanted to take a picture of you and me, were ever you were, but the oppertunity never was to happen, so I’m writing you though your Gone, and at least in this I can tell you and your Family how much you meant to me and all who Loved you. Mayberry wasn’t the same when Barney left. I own several dvds and still watch every episode I can. I can’t flip past Andy Griffith or Three’s Co. Lets not forget Apple Dumpling gang and how funny he and Tim Conway were… Missed but will never be forgotten…. Sparky in Yakima

What a wonderful entertainer and comedian. Thankfully his films and apperarances can live on. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. RIP
