Death Summary: Davis died of a massive heart attack at the age of 65 at his home in Gibsons British Columbia, Canada.

Paramedics tried to resuscitate Davis who had suffered from heart problems for years (not to mention diabetes) in the driveway of his home, but failed to do so.

Who was Don Davis : Don Sinclair Davis was an American actor born in Missouri though he died at his home in Canada.

He was so American in fact that he had once served as a captain in the U.S. Army.

Davis is best known for his character General George S. Hammond on the hit television show Stargate SG-1.

In his lifetime, apart from other roles on Twin Peaks, MacGyver, and the X-files, he appeared in a number of movies, painted, and worked as a theater professor.

When Davis died, his family requested that donations be made in his memory to the American Heart Association.
