Born: 1973-03-30 - Died: 2009-08-28Cause of Death: Accidental Overdose
Death Summary: Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein was found dead in his New York City apartment around 5:20 PM on August 28, 2009. No official cause of death has been announced, but it's rumored that it may have been an accidental drug overdose, as drug paraphernalia was found in the apartment.
UPDATE: The New York City Medical Examiner has said that DJ AM died accidentally of "acute intoxication". He also said that he had a lethal mixture of painkillers, cocaine, sleeping pills, OxyContin, Vicodin, Klonopin, Xanax, Ativan and Benadryl.
Who was DJ AM : Goldstein was a disc disc jockey who went by the name DJ AM and was a former member of the band Crazy Town. He had also worked with Madonna, Will Smith, and Papa Roach.
DJ AM is probably most known for being seriously injured in a Learjet crash, along with Travis Barker from Blink 182.

He had that show tryin to save people from their addictions b4 it killed them and here all this time he was using just as much as many drugs maybe even more than those people …What ashame

very very sad. i can tell he was extremely depressed simply because of the mixture of benzodiazepines. there is NO need for that kind of benzo mixture. none. & no single doctor would prescribe that all at once…except a crooked one..which may have been the case. but my point is, being on a few different painkillers is ok because in small amounts its fine. i myself take more than one kind. BUT -the benzos he was taking all at once -not necessary. poor guy. someone shouldve listened & thats what no one did. it couldve saved his life. rip dj am…
