Who was Dan Peek : Peek was a member of the "rock band" America from 1970 to 1977. During his tenure with the group he contributed lead and backing vocals, guitars, bass, keyboards, and harmonica. Peek was on four top 100 singles: Don't Cross The River, Lonely People, Woman Tonight, and Today's the Day.

After growing tired of life on the road, Peek renewed his Christian lifestyle and began on a alternate creative course: Christian Pop.

    An important and influential musician in my life has passed away. One of my favorite and inspirational somgs was, and still is Rainy Day. Years after he left America I checked out his work with Peace and was still impressed. Goodbye Dan-Gone but not forgotten.

    As a teenager, “Lonely People” brought me hope and was one of the few songs that made me realize there is something bigger than all of us, and our egos.

    I never knew Dan Peek, but I am certain he was a genuine human being. He now rests on the Other Shore.

    A lot of my growing up was around the music of America! It was in many ways the soundtrack to my life! I got to see you guys in concert once in the 90′s with my Sister and I gotta tell ya, it was one of the best top notch performances I’ve ever seen!!! Rock and Roll Heaven just got a lot better!
