Craig Jones
Born: 1985-01-16 - Died: 2008-08-04Cause of Death: Motorcycle Accident
Death Summary: Craig Jones died after sustaining head injuries during a collision at the Supersport Race at the Brands Hatch round of the 2008 World Supersport Championship.
A fast right-hand turn in Clark Curve propelled Jones into oncoming race traffic. Australian racer Andrew Pitt tried to take evasive action... but was unsuccessful. The front wheel of his bike collided with Jones' head delivering the fatal hit.
Officials immediately halted the race so they could attend to the fallen racer. Jones' was airlifted to the Royal London Hospital, where he slipped into a pharmacological coma. He was pronounced dead soon after.

Some of his accomplishments include the 1996 British Junior Mini-Moto Championship, the 1997 British Senior Mini-Moto Championship and the 2002 British Junior Superstock Championship before moving up to the British Supersport Championship.
