Cause of Death: Heart Disease

Death Summary: Penn's weight had been an issue for him and led to his death from heart disease. He died at the age of 40 in his condo in Santa Monica. There were trace amounts of marijuana and cocaine discovered in his system, but his death is still attributed to heart disease.

He was buried in Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City, California.

Who was Chris Penn : Christopher Shannon Penn was the brother of actor Sean Penn, and was an actor himself, best known for roles in the 80s Kevin Bacon dance movie Footloose, the Clint Eastwood Western Pale Rider, and Quentin Tarantino's Reservoir Dogs.
