Cause of Death:
Heart Failure

Death Summary: O'Donnell died in his sleep from heart failure, at his home in Sherman Oaks, California.

Who was Charlie O’Donnell : Though you might not recognize a picture of him, Charlie O'Donnell's voice is probably one of the most memorable in all of entertainment. The famous announcer has been a part of some of the most famous game shows in entertainment. From Card Sharks, to Joker's Wild, and his most famous role as announcer for Wheel of Fortune.

O'Donnell received his start in Chambersburg Pennsylvania, working for a local radio station. He was the program director, and would continue with various director roles until his big television debut as Dick Clark's sidekick on American Bandstand. This job led to him picking up stints as a disc jockey in Los Angeles. Which transitioned into a role as a news anchor, and announcer.

During his time as a news anchor, he worked for a company which owned the game shows The Joker's Wild and Tic-Tac-Dough. This began his long time career as a game show announcer. He would go on to announce for many famous shows, and reunite with Dick Clark on The $100,000 Pyramid.

His most notable role was his work on Wheel of Fortune. He originally started on the show as a substitute for the first announcer. When Jack Clark, the original announcer died, O'Donnell took up his spot. From 1988-2010, O'Donnell was the announcer for Wheel of Fortune. Throughout his career, O'Donnell also announced for the American Music Award, Emmy Awards, and the Academy Awards.

O'Donnell is survived by his wife Ellen.

I had the pleasure of meeting Charlie when i was younger while attending a taping of a game show. I just don’t remember which one. He was a charming lovable guy.

  9. Tamira Says:

diyor ki:Thanks for your article. My spusoe and i have always noticed that a majority of people are wanting to lose weight because they wish to show up slim and also attractive. Nevertheless, they do not usually realize that there are additional benefits to losing weight also. Doctors declare that overweight people are afflicted with a variety of disorders that can be directly attributed to their particular excess weight. The great news is that people who sadly are overweight in addition to suffering from different diseases are able to reduce the severity of their own illnesses by means of losing weight. It is easy to see a constant but notable improvement with health as soon as even a negligible amount of fat loss is attained.
