Who was Cesar Romero : Not unlike the late Heath Ledger, Cesar Romero will forever be remembered for playing the Batman villain The Joker. Romero's portrayal of the Joker was not as critically acclaimed as Ledger's performance from The Dark Knight, but his version is memorable in a different light.
Though Heath Leger played a homosexual character in the movie Brokeback Mountain, this Joker really was homosexual, which was considered "an open secret" for 60 years.
Romero was a Cuban-American from New York City who besides playing the Joker had a fairly extensive filmography and also appeared on the television show Falcon Crest.
