Carl Beane has been a sports broadcaster since 1972, well known for his role as a public announcer for the Boston Red Sox baseball team (since 2003).

Through his broadcasting career, Beane has also been involved with ESPN Radio, Sirius (Satellite Radio), Westwood One, and the Associated Press. Beane also had a minor teaching career at the Connecticut School of Broadcasting, where he taught sports broadcasting classes.
