Death Summary: Bruno Kirby died from complications related to leukemia in Los Angeles, California. He had only been diagnosed a few weeks before. He was only 57.

Who was Bruno Kirby : Kirby was a pretty well known film and television actor, probably best known for his roles in City Slickers and When Harry Met Sally.

He also played Pete Clemenza in The Godfather, a prominent member of the Corleone family. He reprised the role in the sequel, playing a younger version of the same character.

In 2006, just six months before his death, Kirby was invited to become a member of The Actors Studio.

    I always admired Mr. Kirby as an actor. He had a unique style about him, and I was shocked to hear of his sudden, untimely death. I first saw him in a ’70′s film where he played a sailor, but for the life of me cannot remember the name of it. Rest in Peace Sir Bruno!

    I watched “Donnie Brasco” yesterday and I saw Bruno Kirby and I said, “One of the best actors.” I remember Bruno when he starred in the tv series, “The Super” in ’72. He played in many roles and he was always at his best. He’s definitely missed.
