Born: 1977-11-10 - Died: 2009-12-20Cause of Death: Community acquired pneumonia and multiple drug intoxication
Death Summary: At 8:00 AM the LA Fire Dept. responded to a "medical request" at Brittany Murphy's home. Firefighters attempted to resuscitate her, and was later transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
An official cause of death has yet to be established, but the Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter has stated that, "It appears to be natural". At the time of her death Murphy only weighed 115 lbs.
