Bob was a fellow musician who I admired greatly. One of the coolest cats I’ve ever been around and I will miss him. We always had plenty of laughs together and I loved his bass playing. God Bless you Bob.
I had the opportunity to drive Bob and the rest of Elton’s band on the road in the US over the last few years. I was always so sorry for his pain but never more sorry than I am now. I’ll miss you Bob!!
He was a once in a lifetime musician and I was always proud of my little brother…he and my older brother Dan and my sister-in-law Martha, taught me to sing…we had many good times playing music together with our Dad, Chet….end of an era…
I’ve travelled with the Elton John Band around the world. Bob was truly a great musician and gave his all at every gig. Such a tragic loss RIP.
Bob..I am so sorry that you had sadness in your life..I have spoken with you a few times in Orlando, as a fellow bassist/vocalist, you were very gracious to me. Rest in peace my friend. See you again brother! GOD BLESS ALWAYS

Bob invited my daughter (who was only five at the time) and myself on the tour bus in 2000, with that big smile of his and warm heart and we got to meet the rest of the band members. One the best nights of my life. Funny you can never tell when people are suffering. I love Elton and his band and it just won’t be the same without Bob, really did love that guy, peace be with you.
So sad, such a great talent, and will be missed every time I see Elton’ John’s band from now on !! RIP
Having met Sir John I must say, he should never sing this song again He is a waiknlg miracle Does anyone have any idea what he survived, and the fact that he met someone who is willing to put up with him I am the biggest Elton fan but I am also a person just like he is and I will be honest It is a miracle that we are not visiting him at his grave Just saying!!!
