    Scott Asheton, 64, was the drummer and founding member of The Stooges. Asheton, alongside his older brother Ron Asheton, Iggy Pop and Dave Alexander, formed The Stooges in 1967. They played together until disbanding in 1974. The band came back together in 2003 and Asheton continued to play with them until his death.
