    Darwish was a Palestinian poet. In fact, he was considered the Palestinian National Poet. He won a variety of awards including: The Lotus Prize, the Lenin Peace Prize, The Lannan Foundation Prize and the Golden Wreath of Struga Poetry Evenings.

    Eugene “Gene” Kal Siskel was a movie critic famous as half of the duo Siskel and Ebert. They began their career together on a Chicago PBS station and went through various incarnations of their show on various networks. He and Roger Ebert are famous for the thumbs up/down movie scoring system.
