Paul Tanner was a trombonist for the Glenn Miller Orchestra from 1938-1942 and worked for the ABC studio orchestra, as well. He also taught music at UCLA and helped invent an instrument called the Electro-Theremin, which was famously used in the Beach Boys song “Good Vibrations”.
