Who was Andy Williams :

Andy Williams (born as Howard Andrew Williams) was a well-known singer and television host from Wall Lake. Iowa. Williams was mostly known for singing "Moon River," a song that was composed by Johnny Mercer (lyrics) and Henry Mancini (music) in 1961.

Along with this song brining Williams into stardom, he hosted "The Andy Williams Show" (1962-1971), and was also a frequent host on the Grammy Awards telecasts from 1971-1977.

Later in Williams' life, he opened the "Moon River Theatre" in the Ozarks of Branson, Missouri. Williams' theatre has hosted various well-known acts, such as: Phyllis Diller, Pat Boone, The Osmonds, Robert Goulet, Rich Little, Shari Lewis & Lamb Chop, David Copperfield, and Pat Benatar.
