You were an indelible spirit, beautiful, precious Adam. A Noble Warrior and a creative and loving soul.

Much strength, courage and love to your dear ones.

Personally, I do not know how to cope with this news.

    I am literally devastated!

Unable to listen to your music or view images of you since learning of this great tragedy.

…A great and genuine loss to all of humanity.

The Beastie Boys, with particular reference to you (YOU were the Beastie Boys, to me)…pulled me through the tough times in life…and saw me through the best of times. You helped raise and inform me…aiding in my development as the person I am now…my intro into Hip Hop…and to creative and forceful self-expression, with honesty, for the betterment of humankind…You, Adam…were a positive and irreplaceable force in my life that only grew stronger as the years passed.

I am mourning as though you were a close, personal loved one…and whilst this may appear strange…it is nonetheless true..I have loved, adored, cherished, respected, followed and admired you for so very long…the bulk of my life…as a true and pure spirit.

I have been in lock down since I heard the news…shocked…dismayed and reeling. I am speechless and truly heart-broken.

You will be more than sadly missed…ripped too soon from this human coil…a true ANGEL, YOU have ALWAYS beenx In my heart…my soul…my mind…my thoughts.. YOU will remain…for an ETERNITY..Rest now…in Peacex

My name is Jessica, and I got the most awesome privilege back in 1994 at Lallapalooza to meet you and the rest of your crew. I had such a horrible day that day. I found out that some friends of mine were not my true friends, and all I cared about was getting to see the Beastie Boys play, and little did I know that some stranger would walk up to me, and give me a free back stage pass. At first I thought the pass was fake, but I thought what the hell, Ill try it anyway. It turned out that the pass was very real, and all I wanted to do was find your tour bus, and all these people were lying to me saying that the Beastie Boys had left already. But I didn’t believe them, and after about ten minutes of searching, I found you guys. And it was you who invited me onto the bus, you gave me a wet rag to clean off some of the mud that I had collected during a mud fight. and you gave me an apple to eat, and I just thought what an awesome down to earth man. We ended up talking for hours about everything and anything, and you gave me some real insight on what true friendship really is, and how I did’t need to be around people that had bad energy, and I never forgot you or that time that we spent just talking. We are all just human whether famous or not. And I learned something from you that day that I hold true to my self today. I was so sad when I heard about your passing. Adam I hope We meet again some day. And I pray for Adam “Ad-Rock” Mike D, your beautiful wife Dechen Wangdu, your beautiful daughter Tenzin Losel, And everyone who truly knew just how beautiful you were and still are.

    Dead Adam,

Even though we never met, I have always admired you, both as a poet and a role model to whom I have always looked up to. Every single time when life felt to harsh to stand, your work has always managed to put a smile on my face thus helping me get back on my feet.

Words can’t describe how much you will be missed here in poland. Thank you for the last 25 years of your poetry and positive attitude.

    Rest in peace Adam.

    Umarł Król, niech żyje Król!

I had the honor of seeing you perform back in 2003 at MTV in Toronto, Ontario along with the Black Eyed Peas and others. I still remember the awesome way you guys pulled up with that car. Great performance. I had been a fan since the early 1990s, as my cousin introduced me to Beastie Boys when I was just a kid. I was really hoping you would recover, and I would get a chance to see you guys perform live once again. You had so much talent, and brought so much to the world with your music. RIP
